Emptying and Cleaning the Dustbin

Even robots with a self-empty base have a small onboard bin that benefits from an occasional deeper clean beyond the automatic empty cycle.

Empty after every run without a base

If you do not have a self-empty base, empty the onboard bin after each cleaning session — running with a full bin reduces suction for the rest of the clean.

Wipe it out periodically

Dust and fine debris can cling to the bin walls even after emptying. A quick wipe with a dry cloth every few empties keeps it from building up a layer of packed dust.

Check the filter while you are in there

The bin and filter are usually accessed together, so use the emptying routine as a reminder to glance at filter condition rather than treating them as separate tasks.
