Cleaning and Washing Robot Vacuum Mop Pads

Mop pads that are not cleaned regularly stop mopping effectively and can start smelling musty. Here is how to keep them in good shape.

Self-washing docks

If your base washes pads automatically, your main job is keeping the dock’s water tanks filled and emptied on schedule — the wash cycle itself needs no manual input.

Hand-washing

Without a self-washing dock, rinse pads after every use under running water, and machine- or hand-wash them with a mild detergent weekly to prevent buildup and odor.

Let them dry fully

A damp mop pad left in a closed dock or bin between uses is the main cause of musty smells — air-dry pads fully before storing or reattaching them.
