It exists for readers trying to decide whether they need a self-emptying base or a vacuum-mop combo, readers comparing specific models before spending several hundred dollars, and existing owners trying to fix a robot that will not charge, connect, or stop losing suction.
Our editorial mission
We start from the real problems robot vacuum owners have — a brushroll tangled in pet hair, a robot stuck under the same chair every day, a mop pad nobody wants to rinse by hand — and look for the gear and guidance that solves them. Every product page carries our own editorial analysis, and our guides are written to answer a specific question, not to pad a page with generic filler. How we evaluate products
Every product on SweepScout is evaluated based on the manufacturer's published specifications and product documentation, cross-checked against the live Amazon listing before publishing — suction rating, navigation type, mopping and self-empty capabilities, and what is actually included in the box. We do not currently conduct in-house physical/lab testing, and we say so explicitly rather than implying hands-on results we have not produced. How we source information
Factual product claims are sourced from the manufacturer's own product listing, documentation, or support pages — not from other affiliate sites republishing unverified specs. Where a listing is ambiguous or a specific claim (like whether a feature works automatically) is not explicitly confirmed by the manufacturer, we say so rather than assume the more flattering interpretation.
