How to Secure Your Robot Vacuum App Account
The app account controlling your robot vacuum is worth securing like any other connected home device account.
Use a strong, unique password
Treat the manufacturer account the same as any other online account — a unique password (ideally with a password manager) prevents a breach elsewhere from exposing access to your home map and camera feed, if applicable.
Review shared access
If you have shared control with family members, periodically review who still has access, especially after a household change like a move-out or a sold device.
Factory reset before selling
