Check remote access works
Confirm you can see status and start or stop a clean from the app while away from your home network — most apps support this by default, but test it before you leave rather than during an emergency.
Empty the base before you go
Start your trip with an empty bin and bag so the robot has maximum capacity to run unattended for longer without needing intervention.
Set a lighter, more frequent schedule
A daily light clean is generally more resilient to a single missed run (from a closed door or dead battery) than a less frequent, more intensive schedule while no one is home to notice a problem.
