Auto-Empty vs Auto-Refill: What Each Base Feature Does
Base features are often bundled together in marketing, but auto-empty and auto-refill solve two entirely different maintenance chores.
Auto-empty
Handles the dry side — moving debris from the robot’s onboard dustbin into a larger bag or bin at the dock, extending how long you go between manually emptying anything.
Auto-refill
Handles the wet side — automatically topping up the robot’s onboard mop water tank from a larger reservoir in the dock, so you are not manually refilling a small tank before every mop run.
Why both matter on a combo robot
A vacuum-mop combo with only one of the two still leaves you doing half the manual maintenance — check both features specifically if a fully hands-off routine matters to you.
